Flux is a design for an online community for the department of graphic design at
NCSU. Overall, this project was developed in order to help create a cohesive
community of graphic designers at our university. While first and foremost, it
was intended to be a site for us (the students); it should also act as an accurate
portrayal of our community to high school students and other design students
across the nation. We are not static.
The site functions completely based on the user interaction. It utilizes variables
(agents) such as time, number of users logged on, student level, server load,
and many more to generate the visual "skin" of the site. Approximately
20 variables exhibit that as a community, we are constantly changing.
