Mia is a San Francisco based graphic designer, creator, communicator, editor, storyteller, designer, professional, perfectionist, and leader. Her passion for design extends the every day job. She delights in discovery, learning, and experimentation.
As an interaction designer and project lead at IDEO, Mia has played a key role in projects that included software development with a focus on branding and user experience, as well as environmental and space design, interaction design, and information graphics.
During her undergraduate study at North Carolina
State University's College of Design, Mia was involved in several
student organizations, including the American
Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) student chapter and
design honor society Tau Sigma Delta. As an active AIGA
member, she was awarded the student AIGA scholarship for
2004-2005. In addition, she was a key member of a student
collaborative that worked on an award-winning
series of flooring designs for
Lee's Carpets in 2003. This project garnered international
press in publications such as Metropolis and Interior Design
and is viewed as a model for student cooperative design.
